Dr. Rahul Chowdhury is an illustrious, dynamic, young, enthusiastic, quality driven and results orientated professional with over 15 years of demonstrated success with Pre-opening of Hotel Management colleges, top notch Luxury Cruise-ships of USA, Europe & Asia also Pre-opening of luxury hotel experience with some leading 5tar deluxe luxury hotels, Resorts & Palaces of Taj Group, The Park & Fairmont hotels & Resorts in India and abroad in U.A.E (Dubai & Abu Dhabi) in various positions around the world.
Dr. Chowdhury is an alumnus from IHM Bhubaneswar & was conferred the “Best Student of the Academic Year Award” from NCHMCT “Govt. of India” for securing the first position & also holds an MBA degree in “Tourism Management”.
Dr. Chowdhury has also completed his Ph.D. in Management from Sister Nivedita University (Techno India Group). His academic experiences include working as In-charge of Food and Beverage Operations & Heading the Training & Placement Operations at reputed institutions.
His operational experiences range from working in the pre-opening team across the globe with leading & luxury hotel chains, Cruise liners & Hotel School such as the Fairmont Palm- Dubai, Taj group of hotels & luxury cruise-liners- to name a few. He has travelled to different corners of the globe including Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Middle - east & Antarctica in pursuit of professional excellence.
Presently, he is heading the Dept. of Hospitality & Tourism at Sister Nivedita University - Kolkata in India (West Bengal) as an Assistant Director.
Apart from publishing several research papers in renowned National & International Journals, edited books & International Conferences, he has also been invited as guest speaker in several National & International Conferences, Podcasts, live Sessions & Talk shows. He is also an academic expert of several renowned hospitality institutions as a part of their Board of Studies panel.
